Lav mics

I have a lav mic right now. My question is if I get 1 more lav mic, can it be setup to use with one transmitter and 2 mics? Can some one explain how it done. Thank you.

One transmitter = one audio source.
The only way this could work is if you fed the two mics to a small mixer and the output of the mixer to the transmitter.
