RT Secondary Preview Monitoring Options

Well, it seems I can't get a response on the SCS Vegas forums so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm looking for something similar in features to the Edius HDSpark card that allows real time preview to an HDTV as the secondary preview monitor via HDMI for Vegas Pro. I'm needing RT preview - something I've so far not been able to get even with simple m2t files - even Preview full screen has left me wanting. Edius can play back my m2t's in RT until I add some serious filters. And that's without adding the HDSpark card.

I keep trying to find any information from Aja and Blackmagic and working with Vegas Pro 9 but can't seem to find the information needed to verify either one will provide this feature. I'm trying to give Vegas Pro the benefit of the doubt here (I know I've been chided in the past for my responses with Edius in this forum so please bear with me).

Anyone confirm if any options exist for RT preview to a secondary HDTV monitor with a dedicated card or am I left with lackluster performance via the HDMI port from my nVidia GT-220 1GB video card??

TIA,

Anyone????

So I'm looking at making the jump to using a secondary monitor, but I really would like to hear from others who are utilizing the secondary monitor option in Vegas Pro and what their experiences have been.

Given a tight budget for a first time jump into a secondary preview monitor, I'm looking at the

.

The Full Specs from Viewsonic indicate this would meet my needs but I have no idea what I'm getting into with this.

I'm pretty clueless on this and I'm trying to understand the differences between using a monitor with HDMI for secondary preview and an actual HDTV. Could someone explain why one is preferred over the other? What's the difference between a 1080p and 720p monitor for this size monitor?

In addition, I've still not gotten a solid answer regarding whether a separate card from Blackmagic or Aja strictly used for secondary preview will work or if I should use the HDMI port on my nVidia GT-220 card for secondary preview with Vegas Pro 9.

I'd like to hear what others have to say on this. I know it may seem cheap, but I don't want to invest a ton of money right now until I have more paying work coming in.
