Rendered M2T files question.

I've got Windows Vista Ultimate, Vegas 7 and an HV20 for my setup. I capture into Vegas and that of course creates M2T files. I can use windows media player on those M2T files and with some coaxing, it plays them just fine. However, if I crop and clip and then render out a new M2T file, the video is fine, but the audio doesn't play. If I load that M2T file back into Vegas, the audio is certainly there. Any idea why MP might not be playing it back, maybe the audio codec that's used by default?

Thanks,
Steve
