Yes- I forgot to mention I blurred the top layer.

Glenn, can you post a still from footage you applied this effect to- I'd love to see it. Thanks.

Glenn Chan December 27th, 2004 01:34 PM

Sure thing.

And the Veg file (you have to link it to the .wmv file I think)

Hopefully these links work.

Hey thanks. I'm sure it looks better working with it from it's original raw footage.

Do you have any examples of these settings applied to footage that was untouched. I'd be concerned the setting int he VEG file would differ due to the fact you started with footage already heavily tweaked.

Glenn Chan December 27th, 2004 01:40 PM

I don't have the untouched footage- you do ;)

Post up some stills and I'll play around with em.

Where do you change blend modes?

Transitions

Can anyone please tell me how to extend the time of transitions.
The default seems to be a little too short to apprericiate the beauty of the transitions.

I just bought my Vegas 5 and still have a long way to go.

Thanks.

Gary Kleiner December 27th, 2004 08:40 PM

The more your two events overlap, the longer the transition takes.

When you drag multiple events to the timeline at once, they will be automatically overlapped. You can set the amount of this overlap in the preferences. Changing this simply creates longer overlaps which, as Gary mentioned, creates longer transitions. The overlap amount can also be changed via scripts.

Their prediction was that it would be out before the end of the year. I'm betting it will be out in late January or February, but I'm a pessimist.

It was the windows media player.
