XL1 manual lens
Does the manual lens improve the picture quality or is just related with easiest and professional operation ?

Scott Billups has a color chart shot with the manual lens on his web site that gives you some comparison. www.pixelmonger.com According to him the manual lens has the potential to give you a better quality picture.
I haven't seen a review of the manual lens on the watchdog site. I'm wondering if Michael Pappas has used or has any thoughts on the manual lens that is already being distributed by Canon. I did shoot some with the manual lens at a trade show and it did look a little sharper on my monitor.

No review on the Watchdog of the older Canon 14x because nobody ever submitted one.
By the way, there's already on thread on this topic, so just to let y'all know, I'll be moving these posts over there. Please don't reply to this -- take the conversation back to the original thread -- thanks! |
