Anybody know of a program for mac that emulates a waveform monitor that I can use to monitor hdv1 720p 24fps? Something affordable?

Adobe On Location CS4. You connect your camera to your laptop using Firewire (HDV or DV).
In our case we have a Sony EX3. We have to change the recording format to one of the HDV settings (Sony calls them SQ) to make it work with On Location. This is kind of a pain because we don't normally shoot HDV so we can't monitor while we're shooting. But it's nice to have a scope on location when setting the lighting on a green screen. It works great for this. We could use our AJA Io HD to convert the HD-SDI output into Firewire, but I've been too lazy to disconnect it from our system and bring it on green screen shoots. :)
