FCP 6 Dissolve problem

I am trying to add dissolves and something has changed because I have a new problem.

I can click the cut and type command T and the dissolve appears but only starts on the cut and goes for 1 frame. My dissolve is set for 1 sec 15 frames. Now some of the cuts it works fine and some it does not.

I have checked that the video either side of the cut has enough room so that is not the problem.

What am I missing?

zoom in. you probably have a 1 frame gap between the clips... or you really don't have the media, or... trash FCP prefs

Thanks Steve but no blank frames. Weird a reboot has solved it.
