I would reccomend, in any case, to run head cleaner tape before switching brands. You should be fine with any miniDV cleaning tape. I am switching from time to time Fuji and Sony DVCAM tapes, because some of my clients wants DVCAM tape, and i prefer Fuji. Anyway, no problems in last 2 yrs of day to day shooting.
