Thanx for the reply Ken. I thought that would be the case, I mean one usually uses a tape cleaner when there *is* a problem... not when it's not really needed.

I know this wet & dry lubricant is a fairly big issue among different tape brands, but I just wanted to make sure and ask someone who actually uses the PQ and MQ tapes like yourself.

Cheers, Jack

Hi guys :)

You can also use Panasonic AY-DVM60XJ which is also PRO Tape.

60XJ apparently is replacement for 63PQ *** I could be wrong ***

Here is the list of Panasonic's professional media products. The 60XJ tape is labeled as "professional" but is actually under the consumer products area.

Nevertheless, I'm sure it's just fine to use.

THANK YOU KEN :):):)

Just wonder…. Why Pana doing that?

If XJ is labeled as “professional” why they list that tape under consumer product area? I would like to see spec. for all of those tapes.

I only use the MQs and have drop-outs and head clogs.
I keep using them cuz they say they're the best.
Guess things would be worse with other brands.

Dave, you keep using yet although it causes the head clogs and problems? Are you saying that it causes more or less than other brands?

MQs are the only tapes I've used.

I also use the DVM63MQs. Call me crazy, but I have been using them only and ONLY right after I got my GL2. I just want the less head ware on my camera! It works like a charm. No problems at all!
