What's the best follow focus option:

Hello everyone,
I'm shooting a straight to DVD feature in SD and I need some advice on a follow focus system.
So, assuming that both options are the same price, which of these two packages makes more sense:

A. Canon XL2 with 14x manual lens and chrosziel follow focus.

B. Panasonic DVX-100a with chrosziel follow focus using a century optics cine gear.

I ask because I wonder how well the cine gear works with the dvx's ring/servo focus.

Also, since this is going straight to DVD and since it'll be 16X9, which of these cameras would be the best for resolution? (the footage will be color-corrected digitally so cine-like gamma or color is not a factor)

Thanks in advance

In 16X9, the Canon wins hands down...
