B&H is not selling dv953 anymore.

I noticed it only today.

Will GS400 reach the last price dv953 did: $950-1000?

The EXPECTED price I was given by B&H was the MSRP
1499$ .
I wonder if they'll go down from the MSRP =/
but I doubt you'll find this cam anywhere for ledss than 1200$
probably most prices will be about 1299-1399

I like it better when last years model is still in stock (hopefully on ultra clearance) and the new model is right beside it. That makes for better comparisons and the temptation of a lower price. Sony usually does this with their models (TRV900/TRV950 and VX2000/VX2100).

I think thats not up to the producer, but the store.
If they have overstocked they will have leftovers from the older model when they start selling the new one.
But if they know their business, they'll be out of stock of the old one just before they receive the new model.
This way they won't have to sell the old model at a loss. ;-)

I did know about gs400 price because I read posts here. $1499 is expensive and I am saving to keep from getting a loan from bank that my dad has to cosign which is no good. I have $600 save so far for best video camcorder coming. George did post a few times this price.

Yes, George posted the price and gave us those specs when we were unbelievers. Good luck with your savings. There are other good cams out there for less money. Keep this in mind.
