Question about 4k recording to Ninja blade
From what I understand the GH4 will only output a max res of 1080p via HDMI but is the HDMI output 4k capable to an external recorder like the ninja blade or would I have to purchase the expansion module?

According to the recent zacuto interview/review the GH4 will output 10 bit 422 4k via the hdmi. At this point I don't believe any of the Atmos products support 4k though, not sure there's anything yet that supports it over hdmi.

Atomos' newly-announced Shogun will do 4K recording. Under $2k ships Q3/Q4 this year:
