Adrian...

?????
Can't seem to find a home for this guy. I bought this camera about two weeks before the XL1 was introduced, bought an XL1 and never used this camera except to play with a tape or two. Considering the number of burgeoning newbies out there, I thought this would sell well. Weird, since, I *thought* this was a pretty good price. *shrug* whatever

Adrian Douglas May 3rd, 2002 08:06 AM

It's a great price Bill, if it was PAL I'd take it off your hands and throw it into a water housing.

I was just having a go at ya ;)

Bill Ravens May 3rd, 2002 08:17 AM

Adrian...

Can I interest you in a bridge over the Hudson River, perhaps?
Bids start at $24.

(Chris probably would't like this since it's OT, but, I can't resist)

Adrian Douglas May 3rd, 2002 08:21 AM

From the number of views (121) I'm surprised you haven't it yet.

What's on the other side of the bridge?

Dean Bull May 3rd, 2002 11:45 AM

I thought I was buying the camera from you? We agreed on 900.00 and the money is in escrow as we speak.

Thanks,

Kai.

Someone here who wants to sell a used one ? Also need a Wide Angel adapter for that Lense. Live in Germany but i don't think that would make a problem.

Cambridge Camera

Cambridge is also really bad- I went in there with cash (few days ago) to buy a Canon D30 and the fellow behind the counter just stared at me like i was crazy- after he walked into the back of the store he came out and told me to come back in a few hours because the camera was way in the back of the shipping room- very strange...........
he then asked where I lived (like that was any of his business- he just wanted to know if I was a tourist and try to add on all sorts of weird charges and probably charge me for unecessary stuff)

the salespeople always have made me feel uneasy at Cambridge- you sorta feel as if they are "scoping" you out .....forget the glossy ads from Cambridge- they're a ripoff
(I've had other dealings with them previous- none good)

Stick with one of this site's sponsors.

Chris Hurd May 30th, 2002 07:18 PM

For a Canon D30, try Brian at our sponsor Zotz Digital. www.dvinfo.net > Sponsors. Hope this helps,

Thanks Chris,

I'm gonna hold off for the EOS 1D

also found this setup on Century's site:
http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/video/digital/digsunfiltr.html

PS- I was venting some of these same rants listed above to a machinist friend whom has an amazing shop (full CNC set up, etc etc). His response in short was, "It's not the materials, it's the design,set-up time, labor and tweaking that get you."

Kyle "Doc" Mitchell June 7th, 2002 11:10 AM

Hello:

What is the ma400?

Regards,

Kyle "Doc" Mitchell

Chris Hurd June 7th, 2002 11:14 AM

Most likely he means MA200 with four XLR inputs, but best to clarify for sure.

Dylan Couper June 8th, 2002 12:23 PM

I would be interested in a couple of the items if you want to split the package up, which is probably a better way for you to recoup your costs.

If you are interested, send me an e-mail at the_klenzer@hotmail.com

Thanks

sony minidisc unit for sale or trade

I've got a Sony Minidisc "recording MD walkman" as it says on the box for sale. It's a model MZ-R909. It's absolutely NEW and MINT. Batteries never even been charged. I've had it out of the box twice. I got it in trade for a job I did for someone a few weeks ago, but I already have an MD player.

The MZ-R909 model sells on Ebay (check completed items) for around $220, which is way lower than in stores. I'd be happy with $200 and I will split shipping costs. I can take Paypal if anyone is interested.

If anyone wants to trade, I am in need of sound equiptment/accessories (mini-mount or equalizer), XLR adapter, shotgun mic, etc... But I am open to any or all trades.

If you are interested or have any questions, e-mail me at the_klenzer@hotmail.com

Thanks!

hi

$ 2000....ill be willing to buy. Please let me know

wasif

wasif_99@yahoo.com

Keith Loh June 20th, 2002 04:13 PM

those MDs are cool. I picked up MZ-N707 a couple months back to replace my bulky CD portable.

Have you tried using them for external recording yet?

Dylan Couper June 20th, 2002 08:53 PM

They rule! I was going to get an MP3 player, until I found MD players were the same size, with cheaper media and huge storage capabilities.

I haven't used it for any extrenal recording yet, but I probably will eventually.

Keith Loh June 21st, 2002 10:23 AM

Hey, I'll let my roomate know that you're selling your MD player. He had momentary MD lust when I got mine.

Dylan Couper June 21st, 2002 02:11 PM

Awsome!
I haven't got any bites on it locally, so I'll probably put it up on Ebay next week if he isn't interested.

Keith Loh June 21st, 2002 02:17 PM

He said it looked like a good deal but I think he wants to go for an iPod on the long run.

Dylan Couper June 21st, 2002 02:36 PM

I'll throw in a 10 pack of Sony MiniDiscs too! I think it's worth about $30. That should hold about 500 songs.

iPods have huge storage, but I think for the price, MD players give the best bang for the buck (and look cooler).

Keith Loh June 21st, 2002 02:58 PM

A bit hard to find online info on your model. Can post any relevant linkes you can find for that? He's interested again but he wants to do some research on it first.

Justin Chin June 21st, 2002 07:41 PM

The R909 was only sold in Europe and Japan. I don't know about Canada. This is the unit that I have and I LOVE it. The big advantage over MP3 players is that it records.

More info:

http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-R909.html

Dylan Couper June 21st, 2002 11:22 PM

Justin, you are correct. They weren't sold in Canada either as far as I know. The one I am selling did come from Japan, but the markings are English and the documentation is in multiple languages.
