Canon GL1 + wide angle lens for sale

FOR MORE INFO AND PICTURES: http://www.kellishaver.com/GL1/

I purchased my GL1 when I was in high school to film skateboarding, but I broke my wrist shortly after and when I got the cast off all my friends had stopped skating. So it was quite literally only used to film skating once. Other than that it probably has under 50 hours of use.

This camera is in excellent condition and includes with:

1 Canon GL1 3 CCD Camera + lens hood and lens cap
1 BP-915 battery (Canon)
1 BP-930 battery (Digital Concepts)
Battery charger and AC adaptter
Wireless remote
1 Digital Optics .5x Wide Angle lens
S-Video cable, A/V monitor cable (new from RadioShack)
1 TDK head cleaner tape
Camera should strap
Lowpro soft camera bag (easily fits all of the above)
Canon GL1 original manual (not pictured)

Sorry, no box.

FOR MORE INFO AND PICTURES: http://www.kellishaver.com/GL1/

Reason for selling: I just never used this camera as much as I wanted to. I'd like to sell it and use the money to purchase a Canon Digital Rebel (digital still SLR) and a nice lens. Plus, I'd like to get a Panasonic DVX100 for it's 24p capabilities when I can afford it (in the meantime, my friend has one that I can use).

This is a great opportunity to get a good deal on an awesome 3 CCD camera.

I am looking for offers of over $1,000 but will entertain others. Send to: josh@creativeroster.com

Thanks!

You mean the one that goes either on the lens or the camera when
no lens is attached? I would think anybody would want to keep
those pieces with their camera. I'm pretty sure you can get a
replacement part from Canon. Why not give them a call?

Jim Sofranko November 22nd, 2004 08:50 AM

Yes I'm looking for the port cap on the body.

I figured I'd check here first then give Canon a call.

Thanks.

2- Panasonic GS70's for sale

Hi everyone,
I'm selling 2 Panasonic GS70's I purchased in July of 2003. They've been used to tape family events including weddings, recitals, birthdays and a graduation. Each camera has approximately 15 to 20 hours use. One camera will include 2 batteries. One camera does not include a lens cap. However since they each include a UV filter; the lenses are fine. The manuals, remotes and all accessories (including original boxes) are included. These cams are nearly identical to the GS120 which sells for $599 at BHphoto/video. I'll sell each camera separately for $425 or both for $800. Shipping (UPS ground) is $15 for one camera and $22 for both cameras.

2 Panasonic GS70's for sale

Forgot to mention that these cameras are 1/6" 3-CCD cameras and that I will accept bank checks, money orders and paypal.

These cams take an excellent picture in good light. If you'll be shooting a lot of low light scenes without auxiliary lighting: these are not the cameras for you.

The reason that I'm selling these cameras is to start saving towards a 1/3" 3-CCD video camera.

These cameras are not (and probably never will be) listed on ebay.

Hey Benny.
We don't allow direct links to Ebay auctions. Please read our policy regarding that here:
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...&threadid=5772

If you want to change your post to offer your items for sale here at whatever asking price you want, that is fine. Otherwise we are going to have to pull all your Ebay links.

Thanks

Hi everybody--just a bump to say this bag is still available. Now that we're nearer to snow then we were when I first posted it, I figured I'd try again. Any interest?

Benny Ek November 22nd, 2004 05:26 PM

still got it?

Benny Ek November 22nd, 2004 05:56 PM

By the way
If you purchase everything I will go for a price of $3800

Josh Catone November 22nd, 2004 06:39 PM

Well, I would guess it was made in 2000 or early 2001. I purchased it in spring of 2001.

The manual is printed with the date 1999, but the insert page that came in the box (which I have) says 2001. That doesn't necessarily mean anything about the camera, though, just shows when I purchased it. :)

However, in answer to your question: it was new in spring 2001.

Robbie Smolinsky November 22nd, 2004 06:47 PM

I sent you an email Sam!

Josh Catone November 22nd, 2004 06:49 PM

Since this might answer some questions I've been getting, I'll explain my rationale for the $1000 or more asking price.

1. The GL1 is very similar to the GL2, and virtually the only major enhancement from GL1 to GL2 is on the audio side (the added some on-camera audio controls and an LCD on the GL2), image quality is identical (it's the same 1/3" 3 CCD tech). The GL2 still sells for $1800-2500 new.

2. The lens + extra battery + camera bag would be $150-200 new right now (paid considerably more for them 2 years ago, though).

3. A GL1 by itself seems to be going for around $1,000 (give or take) on eBay. Which leads me to believe if push came to shove, I'd have a good chance of getting that there... but I'd rather avoid eBay if I could.

Please feel free to ask any questions! :)

Tommy Haupfear November 22nd, 2004 07:38 PM

Josh, I think you meant that the GL1 and GL2 are both 1/4" 3CCD.

Good luck with sale!

Josh Catone November 22nd, 2004 08:04 PM

Oops, you're right, thanks! :)

We all just wish they were 1/3" :P

FS: Varizoom Flowpod

Hello All,

I've got a used flowpod for sale. Everything works great, I'm just finding that I need only the monopod portion and not the steady capabilities. This kit includes the flowpod, extra screws, 3 counter weights, instruction manual, and the balancing kit for ease of balancing.

I am asking for $250 and the buyer pays for shipping. If you are interested in pictures let me know. You can email me at:

keysonthetable@yahoo.com

Here's the varizoom link to the flowpod:
