FS: BRAND NEW Letus35 $375

New, never used Letus35. You know when you read those classifieds that say, New! never used it. I bought it, but...

Well, that's me this time. I bought this earlier this summer thinking I would use it... but I never got around to it. So, I've got a mint condition Letus 35A up for grabs. $375. It's $500 new. I've also got a Tamron 28-75 F2.8 Lens with a Nikon mount for sale for $260. It's an excellent lens and takes tack sharp photos even at the fast 2.8 aperture.

$10 Shipping. Paypal preferred. I'm in the Washington DC area, if you'd like to do local pick-up.

Chris: yeah, the prices are fair.. I basically deducted the rental that I charged to the project I shot with the equipment and came up with those figures...

As I've said elsewhere - the XL H1 is an excellent camera, it won me over to HDV, which I was highly sceptical of after having used an early Sony camera... The pictures are amazing, and, to be honest, I will miss it.

Steve Rosen August 26th, 2007 08:10 PM

Jad.. No problem (I'm the guy selling the other one).. in fact, in a year, I'll probably be looking for another H1 myself - an amazing camera.

Benjamin Hill August 26th, 2007 09:00 PM

Letus35XL 35mm adapter for XL cameras

Hi,

I have been using the P+S technik adapter more and more as of late, so I am thinking of selling my Letus35XL adapter. I haven't used it much, and it is the latest version. It will work with the XL-H1, XL-2, XL-1s, and XL-1.

Let me know if you have an interest in it. This is more of a feeler at this point, but I'll sell if there's someone who really wants it.

I also have footage from it shot with the XL-H1 if anyone wants to see what the adapter is capable of. It is from a short that has won awards in some festivals, including technical and cinematography awards. It really can produce some excellent footage if used correctly.

Mark Von Lanken August 27th, 2007 10:42 AM

Thanks Chris

will this work for HV20 also?

Jeremiah McLamb August 27th, 2007 03:34 PM

i've never seen an HV20 in person..so i can't say for sure...but I don't think it will due to the structural difference in the cameras.

Several people have asked me to post a picture, and I said I would today (Monday) but was on a shoot all day and didn't have time to pull out the H1 and take a pic.. I will try again tomorrow...

Mike Teutsch August 27th, 2007 05:26 PM

There are pictures of these items all over the web, retailers and all. If you don't know what they look like, check them out. All I know is that if I could afford the 6x lens right now, I would jump on it with both feet!!!!!!!!!!

Yves Fortin August 27th, 2007 07:16 PM

Hi Collis,

I was out for a few days, so it put the add at the top again. ; )

Vence Vida August 27th, 2007 07:20 PM

Obviously, it's not so much a picture of the camera that I want/need to see (I own one already), it's the "focus gear" and "custom built mini-rod/shoulder mount base and 15mm rods" in Steve's description that I'd like to be able to visualize.

Although I will say, after buying and selling a lot of gear on the internet, some on this forum, it's always safer for both parties to have seen photos before hand, so no one can say, "Hey, you never mentioned this or that..." about the condition of the item.

SOLD......finally..

Ken Diewert August 27th, 2007 09:35 PM

I've seen pics of Steve's unit here somewhere. Probably on the H1 forum. I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

Wanted to inform the general readership that Todd Giglio is indeed a real person, and I received a real camera in described condition today!

Here's some tests I did with the 28mm:

Brian Boyko August 28th, 2007 09:25 AM

Just got paid in paypal and sent payments on to Justin and Michael

Steve Rosen August 28th, 2007 09:26 AM

Ken, thanx, but that pic has the Chrosziel follow focus on it and the custom Blue grips, both of which I'm keeping - and it has the Anton Bauer battery on the back, and I'm keeping that Gold Mount as well.. otherwise, same camera..

That is, by the way, the ideal set-up for the H1 handheld...

I'm in the middle of a complicated shoot (with the HPX500) but will try to get back to the office and get a pic taken of what I'm selling today...
