$7,000 too much? Make me an offer.

Eric Gan September 21st, 2008 07:13 PM

One and only bump. Canadians can save a bunch in taxes as this computer will ship from Vancouver, BC.

Vito DeFilippo September 21st, 2008 07:45 PM

Eric,

I just paid $1000 more than you are asking for a refurbished Macbook Pro, but new generation. Seems identical, except for the video memory.

Is there something I'm missing here? If I hadn't just bought one, I'd be leaping all over your sale. I don't get it...

Eric Gan September 21st, 2008 08:04 PM

Yep, you're not missing anything. The closest configuration on Apple.ca refurbished is $3,299 CDN + tax. What I'm selling is not refurbished - it's brand new with original one-year AppleCare until Sep 7, 2009.

The story is that an amazing deal came up and I jumped on it. As buyer's remorse set in, I realized I probably don't need such a powerful laptop. So the box is sitting here tempting me to open it. I might not be able to resist much longer, so somebody take this off my hands!

Thanks to all.

Preston Microforce plus Heden M26T Motor

Hi,

I have a Preston Microforce plus Heden M26T Motor for sale.

The equipment is all in excellent condition. Microforce was serviced by Fred at Preston in July 2007 and it has not been used since. Camera run switch has been replaced by Preston to a 3 position switch that allows momentary and continuous signals. (This makes it 435 compatible).

Arri MH-3 Motor Holder is included. 19mm.

Also a pan handle clamp for the microforce.

Buyer pays for shipping from New Zealand.

Make me an offer.

Cheers,

Ben Ruffell

HZ-CA13U COPLA 1/3" to PL adapter

1 Attachment(s)
Completely optical HZ-CA13U PL lens adapter for $3500 or make me an offer.

JVC HZ-CA13U Professional Features page

My review of this adapter here:
DV Info Net -- JVC HZ-CA13U Cine Optical PL mount Lens Adapter (COPLA) review by Tim Dashwood, Part One

The adapter was designed for HD200 or HD250 cameras but will also work fine on the HD100/110 or even the Sony Z7 and Z270. The HD200 series cameras can rotate the image 180 degrees for EVF and recording but the other cameras mentioned would require rotation in post.
Our company has two of these units. I use one of them on a regular basis but the one for sale has barely seen more than two hours of use.
Please email copla@timdashwood.com if interested. I can send you links to footage as well.

The photo below is of the prototype loaned for my original review and not the actual release version we're selling.

Sony PLM-A55 Glasstron LCD Head Mounted Display

4 Attachment(s)
For sale is the Sony Glasstron PLM-A55 LCD Head Mounted Display.

This is the NTSC version and won't work with PAL signals.

I've had this for years and only really use it for jib shots and sometimes tough steadicam moves. (see attached photos.)
Sony discontinued the Glasstrons shortly after release due to safety concerns (walking into traffic, pools, lakes, etc) so please use with caution.
They are very hard to find now.

This particular model is unique in that it has the ability to flip a switch and use as a see-through heads up display (which helps avoid running into walls.) The video image is superimposed on the 'real world' in front of you.

Works with any size Sony InfoLithium battery.
Includes:
- A/V cable (RCA video & stereo audio.)
- detachable side 'blinders' for outdoor use
- all original documentation and warranty cards
- lithium battery
- service manual
- Glasstron storage pouches

$500 or make me an offer.

Please email glasstron@timdashwood.com if interested.

Also includes a "bundle version" of Photoshop Elements. I can't find CD for "123 of Digital Imaging" but if I remember correctly it was just a tease for the real product.

$1000 CDN but will consider all offers.
Send all offers to nikon@timdashwood.com.

You Will Get A Super Deal

I don't like having to do the "bump," but I guess once a week is OK, to avoid getting buried 10 pages down...

Anyway, this gear is still available, and I am *VERY MOTIVATED* to sell to a reputable buyer. I'm incredibly easy to work with, very responsive, and am looking to just get the deal done with minimal fuss.

I promise that if you are seriously interested (and friendly!), we'll work out an INCREDIBLE DEAL. My loss on this rig will be your substantial gain...

Please shoot me an email through the forum, with any questions you might have.

P.S. -- despite this post's original title, I am happy to sell to international buyers, assuming that the logistics can be worked out without too much additional hassle.

Thanks,
Brent

Jib Shot

In the meantime here's an example of the glasstrons in use (this one from my server.)
As the car drives up to the drive-thru speaker this move required a 120 degree swing to the right, simultaneous 90 degree pan to the left and jib down to about 3 feet.
I really should have had a remote head but the budget couldn't justify for this one shot in the film. The Glasstrons saved us a whole lot of time.
