Jason no worry.

The $400 item was three bags that I sold today. And no the camera has never had water on it.

Correct the warranty will run out in May. And from reading the warranty card it does not say anything about transfer. I did send in the warranty card and register with Canon when I purchased the camera. Also searched their site and can't find anything. Will look more tomorrow.

Jason Bowers January 24th, 2008 06:52 PM

Hi Paul
you purchased in May 2006 so the warranty would have already expired right? How would you ship it in? Do you have a carry case or the original box? Do you know how much to ship to Grand Portage MN 55605?

thanks

Nope, but I do have a CA full zoom through .7 that is flawless and in the original box. I used it only a couple times. Also have the system isolator and Lightwave wind sock for the stock mic. Have been meaning to re-list those items.

As for a get together, Texas Road House is now open. I also like Stan's.

Jason the warranty should go through April. But I have not found if it can be transfered yet I just back in the office today. I do not have the original box but always pack properly and would also insure the package. Check with UPS ground at 10 lbs and insured it would be $18 - $20 to ship.

Correction after calling Canon Service Center in NJ the warranty is not transferable.

As I have said the A1 is a great camera in excellent condition with very low hours and a deal at $2,500 for the package.

FS: Canon 5D + Canon Bat grip & extras

I'm selling my Canon 5D after 6 months of use as my backup camera to my bigger cams. It has never given me a problem and the images it produces are fantastic! This auction is for the Canon EOS 5D body ( and all the original content of the box... including the box ) and the BG-E4 battery grip ( genuine Canon $230 new ), 3 BP-511 series batteries ( 2 go in the grip, and 1 is extra ). and a USB 2 card reader. There is not a mark or scratch on the camera or grip, and not a mar or scratch on the bottom either... I'd guess there's probably less than 5k actuations... I take very good care of my cameras... you will not be disappointed.

How long does the Manufacturer's warranty last?

Laszlo Horvath January 25th, 2008 11:40 PM

Spencer, I can call my dealer about the warranty, but I think it's coming with Sachtler's one year warranty..
The beauty is, they authorized Sachtler Service Center too, so if anything happen they fix it in house.

Laszlo

WTB: Europe - lighting kit

I'm looking for a simple and straightforward (and portable!) 3-light kit, with stands etc.

The main use will be for simple interviews on location (usually office, in-building settings) and for some greenscreen work.

If anyone has a reserve/back-up/second kit they're looking to part with, please drop me a line.

Many thanks, Sean

Paul Cronin January 26th, 2008 09:07 AM

Jim Nogueira January 26th, 2008 10:58 AM

FS in US: Red Eye 82mm 0.7x Wide Angle adapter

Red Eye Wide Angle adapter for 82mm front thread Professional Broadcast Lenses. This is a high-quality, W/A adapter that is about the size of a filter and weighs less than 100 grams. It threads onto the front of a camera lens. The 0.7x wide angle adapter will provide a 30% wider image and is supplied in a slim leather belt pouch. One major advantage of the Red Eye is that it can be used with your existing lens hoods and matte boxes.

The Red Eye was designed as a non-zoom through wide angle adapter. Set the zoom lens to its widest focal length, adjust focus ring to infinity and focus using the macro adjustment. However, the information on the FAQS page on their website claims it will work as a zoom-through with most cameras that have auto-focus. This is a function of the camera more than the Red Eye. I have not tried this, so I can't verify it.

This item is basically brand new. I used it once for about 20 minutes on a job, and never used it again. Email me for pictures.

Information about the product can be found at:

http://www.vfgadgets.com/RedEye.htm

Do a Google search and you'll find many positive review on this adapter. It sells for $400 new, plus shipping from Canada where they are made. I'm asking $350, shipping included. Thanks, Jim

Loren Simons January 26th, 2008 11:38 AM

Yes if your willing to split it im interested in all your anton baur stuff, if its at the right price ;)

Fs: Bogen 503 Head, 3221 Legs & Levelling Head

Head is one year old, the "Wilderness" legs and leveler are 3 years old. Head is like new, legs are in great shape, and have only minor normal wear. This package also includes the canvas tripod case, which is scuffed up, but also still works perfectly.

Also including a spare quick release plate that I have.

$350 + paypal & shipping.

All in all a great price on a setup that performs identical to new.

Bruce Cyr January 26th, 2008 01:08 PM

I have been looking for a 503 head on a tripod that is short enough in it's folded state to set and used on a high table top. The tripod I have been using is the perfect height at 24.5", but it's junk. What is the height of your tripod in its shortest setting and is it sturdy in that position?

Stu Siegal January 26th, 2008 01:15 PM

Hi Bruce,

In it's shortest position, it is 29 inches from the top of the head to the floor, and it is very sturdy in that position, used it that way many times.

Stu
