10.8 upgrade rendered FCP unable to import or read XF100 MXF files. I am working around that by converting to ProRes using a 3rd party utility, but that's a giant PITA.

I've already done the log and transfer (as "native" using the plugin). I went back to a project from a few months ago, and the .MOV files I imported are showing as unusable in Final Cut Pro.

Apparently nobody's using 10.8 with their XF100, right? I just ran into a snag, where apparently 10.8 will no longer recognize XF100 video files. Strangely enough, Quicktime Player can play them, but...

I had a Mac Quicktime software update do this to me once. I had to reinstall the XF Utility and all the attendant crap, and now it works fine again. I L&T to native. Prores seems like overkill...
