When trimming clips in the Player, be sure the Audio Source Channel Mode is set to Mono.
Dragging trimmed clips will then split audio channels properly.

I got to test the new C100 AF at WPPI last week and found it quite useful in well lit situations.

Indeed it does!
I got to test this new feature at WPPI in Vegas last week and it looks like it may be one of those hidden gems.

Use the menu to activate Continuous Recording and recording begins....

I don't think there's a way to view the hours on this editing deck, but they're fairly low. Used in my home studio. Comes with the original box, remote, manual, power cord an 5 full sized tapes....

I have a feeling your computer or monitor may be up to the task. Without an output device results can vary widely.

Although the kit lens is not awesome, it should work adequately and look sharp....

Spent the last 3 days in Phoenix using my 70-200 with the I.S. off.
This lens is really best on a tripod, so I.S. is really not needed.
