Importing AVCHD file, missing video

HI, I've tried importing an AVCHD file into Premiere Pro, and there's a missing file. When I open it up through Quicktime, I can see that there is indeed a missing file. I can't recover any files...

Re: Screwed in Chicago

Craig, you make some good points here. It's not his shooting that is an issue, other than their inexperience with weddings. They wanted to set up a tripod in the aisle, and the guy shooting the...

Re: Screwed in Chicago

Chris,

I mainly do photography these days, but I started out in wedding videography, so I continue to offer it. But if I spend all my time editing, I'm not out there networking, marketing,...

Re: Screwed in Chicago

Thanks, Chris. I did give him instructions, he did take notes, and then he simply ignored them. And it really wasn't very comprehensive. I just broke down how the reception video should be put...

Re: Screwed in Chicago

I was hoping you would see this, Don, as you're the guy here in Chicago. He's unlikely to be the guy you're thinking of, as he just turned 21. Hate to think he's going to continue getting jobs here...

Screwed in Chicago

My regular videographer already had a gig so I had to hire someone new to video a wedding for me while I focused on the photography. Here in Chicago, there's just not a lot of good video...

Re: A turning point in video/photo packages?

First, I think those photographers offering short form video are probably doing it at low price point in an effort to get clients who are thinking about getting video and now find a feasible price to...

Keyframes not showing in Premiere CC 2014

I recently upgraded to Premiere Pro CC 2014, and popped in my first video files to edit, and no keyframes! I went to the Wrench icon and it shows as marked "Show Video Keyframes" and "Show Audio...

Editing GoPro Hero3+ in slo-mo

Okay, just go my GoPro and shot my first footage with it at 720dpi/120 fps as I want to really slow it down and have it smooth.

I thought about pulling it directly into After Effects. I have...

No posts since Feb. 18?

Is that true, or is there some glitch going on right now? I have a hard time believing no one has posted anything in two months!

If it's true, what's up with that? Just a matter of it being the...

Re: Different video settings -- will work in Encore?

Those are good suggestions, I appreciate it.

Another thought I had was: Since I'm burning to a DVD, I don't think it's going to be 1920x1080. So Encore has to be down-sizing these. But my main...

Different video settings -- will work in Encore?

I shoot with a Nikon D4 and a Canon XL-H1, and somehow in my most recent wedding that I'm wrapping up, I totally got the footage completely wrong between the two of them. The Canon shot at 1440x1080...

PluralEyes the best to match video?

Hi there,

I last was heavy into video editing with Final Cut Pro and Premiere back in 2002-04, and I always had to manually sync up the video from different cameras. Now I'm getting back into it...

Re: Last wedding of the year

Love your work!

Just curious, but how is a full edit just 40 minutes? You said it includes the full ceremony, but a ceremony can last from 15 minutes to an hour for a full Catholic mass. In my...

Thanks for the feedback, and yes, I was nodding. I actually use tripods/monopods/steadicam and a slider, but the issue is getting good at it, particularly the steadicam. The pan up the...

First wedding and a single-camera shoot? Dude, this is just sick.

Congrats. By your fifth wedding, you should be charging $4000-plus.
