Re: Flying in Portland (Maine)
Hi Brian, a little explanation is in order to help you decide which workflow might be best for you.

Re: Flying in Portland (Maine)
Nice flying and AP.
There is a benefit to shooting 2.7K but it depends on how much post processing you want to do. I pretty much run all of my aerial through AE for warp stabilization, I Pan &...

Re: Flight College for Drone Flying?
It doesn't sound like they're planing to offer anything for MR AP. I'm not sure why anyone would think its necessary.
All but the largest flight schools here in California have scaled back or...

Re: Moire in Still Images
Thanks Duane, I've been experimenting with the Median and unsharp mask filters in AE and with the right settings appears to do a good job of eliminating the moire while still keeping the detail.
I...

Re: My best of 2013
There's some really nice shot there. I have to admit I didn't watch the whole thing, but what I did watch was very impressive.

Re: Moire in Still Images
I take the full resolution stills into AE and pan and scan them on a 1080P timeline. I would have thought someone would have made a clever filter for this anyone who uses stills would have this...

Re: Boxing Day flight
Simply using a monitor to frame your shots is not as simple as you might think. I find that once I look at the monitor and reposition the MR to get the shot that its really disconcerting when you...

Re: Moire in Still Images
I would have thought with more than 130 views someone would have had a suggestion on how to improve this.
Is the link or video not playing?

Re: Aerial Video of Local Wedding Facility
The US Government has its head so far up our butt's we might not see daylight for decades, so lets no turn this thread into another useless debate over the legality of RC AP.
Nice use of AP.

Re: Video Goggle Flying
That looks great. I have the same frame.
The reason people build bigger MR's is because for a lot of productions a GoPro isn't acceptable so they need to fly a bigger camera.
But I agree, it...

Re: Quadcopter/Drone rentals?
No, I seriously doubt that someone would rent you a MR's that is capable of flying a DSLR.
Alex I'm guessing you've never built or flown a MR for AP? You don't fly a $4500 camera with $10...
