Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP Monitor
Just ordered the 2408WFP (from Dell, at a fraction under 430 quid delivered.) Will post about it once it's arrived and let you know what I think.

Look on the back of your PC. Most sound cards should have a 1/8th socket for accepting a microphone as well as an 1/8th audio out socket next to it (for plugging in a PC speaker system for example.)...

Yep! In fact Sony says you can have Vegas installed on more than 1 PC that you own, as long as Vegas is not being used at the same time on both PC's.
I assume they either rely on your honesty...
