Re: Can anyone recommend a good slider?

My friend has it. It's an awesome slider. It's portable and slide smoothly, but it has some stability issues.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good slider?

Exactly Noa. You know it's a terrible product when the manufacturer sent tools to fix it in the packaging.

So the first problem you're gonna notice with Konova is that every small ding and...

Re: Can anyone recommend a good slider?

I use to have a Konova k3. Hated that thing. Now I have Kessler Stealth and it's so much nicer. The tension knob is a big add on.

I would say look into the Cinevate Duzi.

Re: Favourite lens for evening reception

my favorite for dances is Canon 6d and Samyang 85mm f 1.4. The best bokeh combinations out of all my lenses.

Re: How to kill our videography market

so just wondering, is $25/hour a bad rate for weddings? I been breaking into Houston wedding market and work for 4 companies. They all pay me $25/hour.

Re: Tripod Comparison/Opinion

Hi Alex. It also seems like there's a rebate going on so you might want to get it before it expires. I have the flat mount MVH500 and even though it's better than other Manfrotto heads, I still hate...

Re: Tested a Sachtler FSB 4 with CF sticks.

Did you use Manfrotto before Jonathan? I'm leaning toward this kit instead of speed lock because of it versatility.

Sachtler Telescopic Tripod TT 75/2 CF with FSB 4 Fluid Head 0377

I would...

You can try to take the pan lock off and get a...

Re: Miller Solo DV

But 5.5 pounds vs 6.6 pounds is not a huge difference in weight. Is it really worth $250 for 1 pound?

Miller Solo DV

I'm thinking of getting the Miller Solo DV leg. They come in Carbon Fiber and Aluminum. I heard that CF is suppose to be much lighter but when I look on B&H, there is only 1 pound of difference in...

Great customer service from Manfrotto

I was missing a piece on my new Manfrotto 701 (for my slider) and tried calling and emailing through Manfrotto website. However, they wouldn't pick up my calls and emails were taking too long. So I...

Re: Rokinon / Samyang?

I sometimes use the 35mm as a wide for ceremony. It works better in reception because of how fast it is.

Re: Rokinon / Samyang?

Even though they are made of plastic, they still feel nice but not as nice as other manual focus lens like Contax Zeiss. They all have really nice focusing. The 35mm is one of my favorite lens to...

Re: Rokinon / Samyang?

I have 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm. They are a perfect set for Apsc sensor. I use 14mm on Glidecam. 35mm as my normal and 85mm as my portrait. Now that I switch to full frame, the 85mm is one of my favorite...

Re: 1 Tripod 1 Slider No Bend!

Glad that you guys seem to like the Konova. I have had so many problems with it including the carriage coming loose every shoot and the brake screws stripping loose. I'm tired with working with cheap...

Hello Chris. I did not receive that email. Thanks for re-posting it. I'm really considering the FSB-4 with the 75 CF since it is in my budget range. I shoot lots of weddings so moving fast is top...

Re: Tested a Sachtler FSB 4 with CF sticks.

I'm thinking of buying FSB-4 too. What legs did you buy with it and how are you liking it?

Re: Matt and Kathryn wedding highlights film

I like how the shots are well composed and has really nice shallow depth of field. The only part I didn't like is 3:39-4:08

Those different color flashes just looks amateurish to me...

Re: No Ceremony / No Prep ... just good old fashion Love! My best work ever!

I agree with everything Adrian said. You used many techniques that are not common in wedding films and I give you props for that.
