Thanks, Mark. If I can't find the original Sony clamp I'll buy the $30 unit at bh. Interesting that when I asked them if they could reccomend a replacement, they said "no"

You're right ...they are somewhat uncomfortable during long use time, because they press on your ears. I've gotten used to them, but only wear them at loud venues.

Aftermarket mic holder?
The cheesy Sony mic holder does not swivel, and breaks easily. It's happened to four of us who each own an fs7.
Anyone have a line on a different mic holder, that could clamp on the tube, but also...

No one has mentioned the Xlr k2m, which mounts on the hot shoe , gives you 2 more Xlr inputs and a mic.
So you can now record 4 seperate audio channels, each with it's own Xlr input, gain controls,...
