Ok, to be honest its all about pre-focusing, lens selection and praying (confidence its going to be right). With the 14mm there isn't much to worry about, everything's in focus...

Yeah to my surprise (yes I had my doubts too) the Cyclops ROCKS!!! It aids as an additional point of contact and is solid with the camera/mount and handles. I can actually use it as a hand held rig...

Yes I just sold mine too because I ditched it when it got dark.. but I still think its a great lens for flexibility sake. Canon needs to make this lens in a 2.8

I agree.. the 24-105 lens is awesome for versatility (it has IS which helps too). The 4 fstop sucks but hey boost you're ISO - it will look like crap but that's the sacrifice you'll have to pay. ...

The monopod is excellent.. I definetly recommend the Manfrotto we use with the 701 HDV head. It works great the 70-200 IS Lens and the Cyclops from Cinevate, very well balanced and easy to use. ...
