Re: Time to by a new GPU for VegasPro 11
I agree Jeff. I've heard great things about the gtx560 card, and even wondered if it would help my Adobe After Effects renders. However, I think I will spend the money somewhere else like sd cards,...

Re: Time to by a new GPU for VegasPro 11
I've been reading this tread to see if it will help me make the decision to upgrade my Vegas Pro 10e to VP11. Is it worth the upgrade? I ask because I currently run Win Vista 64bit on a quad core...

Thanks Bubba. Made a few adjustments that work a little better. The settings from the video link on page 5 of this thread help a lot.

Re: Low Light settings for HF M40
That's correct. I will try some more test tomorrow. I know this has nothing to do w/ the problem, but I also added a Canon Wide Angle lens. It makes the camera look a lot larger than it is and the...

Re: Low Light settings for HF M40
Jeff,
I saw some sample footage (see below) on Vimeo that shows great low light footage using the M400 and M40. What's strange is that when I increase the black levels in Sony Vegas the footage...

Re: Low Light settings for HF M40
Thanks Jeff. I've tried adjusting the gain up to 18db and still get noise. It must be some of the other settings that I need to adjust. I guess I will keep trying.

Low Light settings for HF M40
Just purchased a HF M40 as a B cam. I've tried some low light test footage and so far it's not what I expect. The footage has more grain than I expect and wanted to know what LOW LIGHT settings are...

Re: Ag-hmc80?
@Chris
Ended up buying 2 hmc150's from this forum. I've tested them a bit and so far so good. Now I will have to check into the 3rd cam option in a few months. May even wait around for the GH3....

Re: Ag-hmc80?
Thanks Chris. That's exactly what I was looking for. Now I will have to see if I want to wait for the G3. There's a rumor that the low light support will be better. I agree about shooting weddings...

Thanks Chris! 18db Wow! The third camera I was asking about is for my CYA camera (usually at the back of the church). Will the Panasonic GH2 handle something like that? I thought a DSLR would get too...

Re: Ag-hmc80?
Hi Chris,
I really thinking hard about getting two of these for the next wedding season. As long as the lowlight capability is not as bad as the Sony FX7 or Canon XH A1 I'm all in. I'm trying to...

Re: Reception Audio Help Please
Thanks Don. I tried the normalize method last night and was able to increase the audio a little. Of course there's a lot of noise. I will try Sound Forge and see how much I can salvage.
