This is a job for greenscreen and after effects. I've been shooting gs and then compositing people into virtual sets for the last two weeks. While a bit labor intensive, the results are worth it....

Yeah...tech specs only tell part of the story. The 300/305 are fantastic cameras even with the 1/3" chips. Only camera close for around the same money is the sony ex1r. I have cut tons of footage...

I would never buy equipment without having cash in hand. Too many things can go wrong and you're screwed credit-wise and can owe a ton of money very quickly.

Actually with large photos in quantity, its easy to fill up the 4 gig in FCS. For HD video though i can edit that on my 2gig 1st gen macbook pro. Normally, I run FCS and CS5 suite on a 16gig machine....
