Re: Wedding Highlights
This is why i could never give my work to someone else to edit. He needs to accept what you've done and be done with it or edit it himself. Nothing you did is WILDLY out of line or bad. Most of his...

Re: Edmonton Wedding Video
Hi Tyler. Honestly, that was brilliantly shot and edited, normally i would say the over-use of slow-mo was a bad thing but it just seemed to work with this couple, as did the choice of music. They...

Re: groom pockect audio recorder?
Fantastic thanks guys, looks like a better alternative to the zoom, little more pricey but within my price range. Is there a 'lock' button to prevent it from being stopped in the pocket?

Re: groom pockect audio recorder?
Hello guys, before i take the plunge investing in two Zoom H1's i was wondering if there were any better/cheaper recommendations out there? They will be used in conjunction with mics mostly for...

Re: My first 'big' non-wedding job
Hi Clive,
Great work, im sure your clients were more than happy with it. The sound honestly wasn't as bad as you think, it definitely could be better though and a Zoom H1 with a decent lav mic...

Re: No more video cameras?
You are implying that using a DSLR is somehow relative to your skill as a camera operator/film maker?

Re: Shooting interviews, 1 camera or 2?
Hello guys,
Instead of starting a new topic i thought i'd bump this relatively new one.
I have a small job (low/no pay) filming an interview involving an interviewer and an interviewee with a...

Re: What is a wedding story?
Gonna have to agree with Bill here.
Adrian, you're really over thinking things. Film making is an art, not a science.

Re: Editing Hour for 15min Wedding Film
You cannot compare corporate edits to wedding edits. Corporate edits are clear-cut, straight forward and in my opinion, easier, in comparison to a short-form edit where the narrative/style/pace/music...

Re: New business, could use a few specific tips.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for this! This is basically all i do too. I tried the 3-stage workflow and it was just too time consuming and in the end, wasn't worth it. Like you, i get good enough results...

Re: Time to show you a videoI guess!
Hey Clive,
I don't think the shallow DOF was nearly as bad as Paul made it out to be. I read his comments before watching and while there were a few classic DSLR moments, it wasn't excessive at...

Re: Frustration with local businesses
With sites like TheMusicBed and SongFreedom why would you need anything else? The music is fresh, original and unique and relatively cheap for us videographers.
Don't forget in the UK you can use...
