XF100 and Glidecam HD2000?

I just ordered a Glidecam HD2000 and the Glidecam Forearm Brace to use with my XF100. I also want to be able to use it with the Canon 1D Mark IV, so that's why I opted for the 2000 and not the 1000...

Re: XF FCP Plugin and spanned files?

Thanks, Dan. I was using ProRes, and also importing straight from the CF card via Firewire. Fortunately, I still have the cards, so I think I'll just try it again.

Question: if you use Native...

Did Lion hose my .MXF support?

Is anybody using OS X 10.7 Lion with Final Cut Studio and the XF100/300 and the Final Cut Pro plugin? It was working fine for me before updating to Lion, and now the plugin isn't recognizing MXF...

Re: Any news on the compatibility of the Axtremex 64GB/128GB CF cards with the XF cam

See the previous thread(s) regarding CF card compatibility. There's a lot more to CF cards than the 'X' rating (eg: 300X, 400X) and the capacity. The *quality* of the controller chip in the card has...

Re: Cheap & reliable CF card

FYI, Adorama and B&H both have Sandisk Extreme 16GB cards on sale for about $60 each if you buy two (as of this writing June 11 2011). That's not as cheap as some of the non-approved cards, but the...

Re: XF File Structure Questions

Phillip,
It is true that one should be careful, but note that this command does not utilize "sudo", and by its design is non-destructive. In other words, it should not delete files, ever. At least...

This creates a...

Re: Cheap & reliable CF card

Canon have taken an extraordinary step of recommending (and TESTING) specific products for their camera, and I suspect that this is for good reason. A 50mbps data stream can cause problems for a...
