Thanks Dror. For the henna it was mostly 50 1.2 with some 24 1.4 and 100 2.8 macro shots. It was just myself filming.

Wow great tip Nigel, looks like a sweet lens. Sharp as sharp gets and minimal CA. Of course it's not rectilinear but would be awesome on a crop sensor (no vignetting and less evident distortion)....

You may want to dry deleting all the audio render files and re-rendering from scratch. That could clear it up. Sometimes when you re-render Final Cut jumbles things.

I think you're asking about whether to get the IS or non IS version. For tripod work you don't need IS. In fact IS will cause a "floaty" image in many cases and needlessly burn through your battery....

Nattrass film effects are a good starting point. Looks like a polarizing filter was used in the youtube video - this is a neat way to give the digital footage the appearance of greater dynamic range...

The Rode Videomic is very popular with the 5D and we've had very good results from it. Mono but very good quality sound otherwise. Not a very robust unit though, the mount is pretty fragile.

Strange. As a workaround you could try exporting that one clip with the filter applied and then re-importing it to FCP. As opposed to just nesting the sequence.
