Do you use NeoScene with your XH-A1? What's your settings in NeoScene when trying to capture 24f footage? I'm using PP CS3 by the way.

Come on folks....no takers? I tried capturing again but with the Convert to 24p(NTSC only) button checked and it shows as 23.967fps in Premiere CS3. What I'm wondering is why doesn't it say...

24f showing as 29.97 in CS3????

Shot footage in 24f 1080 HDV on a XH-A1. Captured with NEOSCENE with Maintain Source Frame Format checked. When I import into CS3 the clip's Frame Rate is being displayed as 29.97fps.

Ok, just figured it out. I had a firewire...

Ok, just figured it out. I had a firewire connected to the camera and it wasn't allowing me to access the PLAYBACK STD function.
Once unplugged I could change it to SD and all is good.
