SDI to composite adapter
I need to put an SDI - analog adapter in my kit for occasional liveshots or playing back the Nano to NTSC gear. With luck I'll never have to use it but once in while I come across a truck without SDI...

audio for interview
I think your best bet may be to use whatever VIDEO camera you may have around or can get your hands on to record the interview as a second camera, and run the audio into that.

check ilink setting
This may be a long shot but it is one that has stumped me before. The HDSDI/SDI port shuts down on the EX3 when the "ILINK" in enabled in the OTHERS menu.

monitor with scopes
I'd second James' suggestion for a good HDSDI monitor looped out of the nanoflash. I own two of the Panasonics, they are nice but only have a waveform.
If I were looking today I'd buy the Flanders...

Gearnex makes for smooth moves
My Gearnex head arrived this week, beautifully built as promised. I set it up in the office and can't pass without giving it a spin.
Its a bit of overkill for the Canon 5D mkII but damn is it...

MXF to FCP with transfer 2.10 not working now
Yesterday with sony on the pohone I did get transfer to take my mxf files into FCP 7, (although the thumbnails were not there) today it is not working, so back to the drawing board. I'll keep trying...
