how to import a DVD

I am running FCP6 and am somewhat new to this editing platform.
I want to import a non copyrighted DVD. The files are in a normal VOB format.
How do I get the audio and video into my bin in order...

I would look for something light but to get a nice look it needs to have a wide degree of spread. Some of these lights are too hot in the center and drop off too fast.
