Re: Cam-xiety

R54,644.71 is a bit tight for a C100 solution, you need about +/- R109,289.41 for a C100 setup with 3x lenses, media & batteries if you want to avoid production headaches. If I mainly did conferences...

Re: best settings C100

I can concur what Adrian says about C-Log, it's very hard to get the image to look good unless you are a pro colourist. I used C-Log in the beginning but simple things like setting the White Balance...

Re: best settings C100

Andrew Wide-DR is perfect for weddings, pretty much everything, in fact it looks so good you barely have to do any grading. I've been using it for months now. Play around with the settings, you can...

Re: Best general usage Lens for c100?

The Canon 24-105MM F4 IS is a damn good lens and worth the extra money make no mistake. I have a lot of lenses & the 24-105 is one of my favourite after the Tokina 11-16MM. The build quality on this...

Re: Canon it's Feb. 2014, is the C100 AF upgrade available yet?

The Sony F3 had a paid upgrade to unlock S-Log that they charged $3000 for which was only firmware, few months later it was free.

Re: Which portable recorder for pro line level use?

The Zoom H4n suffers from distortion on the RCA Tape/Rec Out on most mixing desks, it's a problem. I usually try to go through the Booth or Monitor which has it's own volume control but in some cases...

Re: Review of C100 - after having it a while

Brilliant write-up, thanks. Going on six months with my two C100's & it's the best cameras I've personally ever owned coming from EX1's & DSLRs. I couldn't imagine going back to DSLR. Even the crappy...

Re: An update with my Nvidia GTX 780 Ti..

Kim thanks for update. Worth a mention, I solved some of my Vegas crashing issues by turning of Auto Ripple. I've noticed Vegas crash while playing back video if you do a ripple delete.

Re: AA Battery Recomendations

Rick 500 cycles should last least 3-4 years if you do 100 jobs a year, these batteries are so affordable that I buy a new set every two years and use the older one's around the house.

Re: Help Getting Video Preview to play smoothly?

Well I can say one thing, my Blu-rays always took 30min to build now they built in 10min that alone makes the SSD's worth it for me.

Re: Help Getting Video Preview to play smoothly?
