I wouldn't call it overacting, but it did feel like she was trying too hard.

There's a line actors cross from knowing the lines to knowing the moment.

As stupid as it sounds, she felt like an...

Great job.

I also was distracted by the actress. In moments like she was trying to pull off a trick I learned from director Nick Meyer is you have to almost get the actor bored with the scene. ...

Did you shoot this in 4:3 then add the lettbox matte?

Because it looks like your framing is too low in many shots. But if we saw the entire 4:3 image then it would probably look correct.

No doubt the Pioneer is great, but I've been using my Sony for almost a year now and have probably burned about 300 DVDs without any trouble.

I think in Premiere the filter is actually 'clip'.

Doesn't 'crop' compress the image when you use it? I always get those mixed up.

It's not just the GL2 (though it could be a Canon issue).

I use a ZR40 as my capture deck and Pro has been doing this same thing. It's not a huge deal, I turn the camera off then on again and...

Nah. I think I'll try anyway.

I've sent a message to my friend who knows the producer to see what needs to be done. Not going to get anywhere by giving up.

Looking for a list of available people in the DFW area.

First off, I'd like to see who is around here so I know who I can call on when I need something.

Secondly, I'm currently planning to shoot a pilot of a show I've developed to pitch to TLC (and...

Anyone ever tried to sell a show to a TLC or similar station?

I've got an idea for a show (don't we all, ha!) and am interested in figuring out the best way to handle the situation.

I'm able to fund the shooting of a pilot, but don't really know the ins and...

Nice work Tom.

What exactly is a Serenity Video? Just some nice pictures with easy music or is there more to it?

Sounds like you got a good little score there.

I've been editing for a while and charge $115 per hour. That's $75 per hour for the labor and $40 per hour for the equipment.

A 2 hour shoot is probably going to actually be a 3 hour block of...

I only bill out production days (shooting) in half or full day increments.

A half day is 4 hours, no meals. A full day is 9 hours with an hour lunch. This is when I...

I went for the GL2.

Just felt better about it. Maybe in 6 months or so I can relook at the DVC80.

So now get ready for a bunch of "how do you do this and how do you do that" threads and I'll...

I need the GL2 users opinions: GL2 or DVC80?

I'm going back and forth on these and it's killing me.

First off, the prices are pretty much identical when you figure in an XLR adapter for the GL2.

I really like the audio abilities on the...

I just got an email from someone at Zotz telling me not to even consider the 80 over the GL2 because of issues he can't...

Was all about to buy a GL2....

Then I stumble over the DVC80.

Dang.
