Re: Default Transition Behavior

The default behaviour is different from previous versions though:

Prior to CC2014 to place a default transition you simply needed to have the track selected/active and the playhead at (or very...

Re: Default Transition Behavior

Ann, are you able to turn this behaviour off at all in CC2014?

I've found the toggle in CC2015, but going back to work on a 2014 project the option is not available in the SEQUENCE menu.

Re: Battery grip and heavy lens on a tripod

Tripod plates are cheap... it never hurts to have a couple of extras!

When I shot with 5D's I used to have plates permanently attached to each body as well as the lens feet on all the bigger...

Re: Battery grip and heavy lens on a tripod

Can you use the tripod threads on the Metabones adapter rather than mounting the camera itself to the tripod?

Re: New FS700r questions

When combined with the 7Q the FS700 does offer some advantages over the bare FS5:

- 4K 60p
- 4K 120p burst
- Continuous slow motion
- RAW (obviously)

Of course the FS5 should do all of this...

Re: Gx8

This will also be dependent on the speed of the propeller - hence why you're getting mixed results from different aircraft.

Record the propeller as the ignition starts and it throttles up to full...

Re: New Sony PXW-FS5

Keep in mind that Canon's offering in this price range has only just introduced 60p @ 1080, and has no 4K at all. And that particular camera's predecessor was flying off the shelves even though it...

Re: FS 100 discontinued

Will certainly be interesting to see what Sony does to fill this market space. Maybe another FS700 price drop? Or perhaps a successor just around the corner? I'm sure plenty of people will be looking...

Re: CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

This is what I've tried to do, but in reality it seems they're moving onto the next version before even making a current one completely stable (of course 'completely' is a relative term - given the...

Re: CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

Totally agree about the 'beta tester' aspect of the current Adobe system, Peter. It feels as though they move so quickly that every update is at beta-testing stage at release, and before all of the...

Re: CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

Thanks Mervyn, good to hear they've released an update addressing some of the problems.

I've got 32GB RAM installed, but from what I've read this was still not enough to prevent "out-of-memory"...

Re: CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

Thanks Bruce,

I've already had the subscription for a year and have been using CC2014 for some projects (still prefer CS6 for bigger projects which demand stability, though). I agree it's good to...

Re: Nle

Are you currently using Adobe or have you moved elsewhere? Because JKL has always been standard in Premiere. Like I/O it's one of the few commands that seems to be pretty universal across the board.

Re: CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

Thanks Helmut, good to know that the new colour tools are a practical improvement.

For sure when I'm ready to upgrade I'll double check that I have selected the option to keep the older versions!

CC 2015 - Ready for prime time?

Hi All,

I've been thinking about moving to CC 2015 shortly, but so far all I can find is negative reports. As with all things on the internet though, it's probably a case of nobody says anything...

Re: Smaller package, same big price

It will make a big difference for surfers who routinely clench it between their teeth for a POV angle.

The smaller size makes it safer to wear with a leash too - during a wipeout, the standard...

Re: How do I montor multitrack audio?

Thanks Vaughan. I'll see how that goes in CS6.

And as it turns out I haven't solved this yet after all - in the projects where it was causing a problem, the channel monitor toggle is simply not...

Re: How do I montor multitrack audio?

Hi Vaughan, thanks for answering - yes that is what I've been doing:

New Sequence > Tracks > Multichannel > 8 tracks.

I'd see the 8 different output tracks in my meters, but anything mapped to...

Re: Exposure flicker fix?

Check out GBDeflicker - it's made for timelapses but it claims to fix flickering on regular video footage too. It's not cheap though, but I think it has a free (probably watermarked) trial version...

Cineform AVI's on Mac with Premiere CS6?

Hi All,

Just trying to sort out a cross-platform collaboration problem.

Re: Canon announces C300 Mark II, XC10 and new codec XF-AVC

Reliability, compatibility & familiarity. On many productions (and in rental houses) price often comes secondary to factors such as these (provided the Image quality is there).

For people wanting...
