the 7d has great manual forcus, but its capabilities are mostly in the lense...a great lense with great AF and fast aperature, will give you great abilities....
the t2i is nowhere near as good as...

i have a 28-135mm f/3.5, a 28-300 f/3.5, and...
i have a 28-135mm f/3.5, a 28-300 f/3.5, and 18-55 f/3.5
i usually shoot 24p shutter 50....during sunlight iso100, in shade i go to 320, and sometimes 640....when its really low light i like 1000...

go to walmart and get a scandisk CF card, they have a udma 30MBps card....39.99....this way you can have a backup card and take some pics tonight...
also as long as you keep the iso below 1600...
