Re: In Cyprus

Hey Dimitris... Nice video as always. Your colors, and contrast are dead for the look that I'm hoping to get out of my cameras. Do you mind sharing your video settings (ie, neutral or custom)? ...

Re: 24p and glidecam or any cam stab

Thanks for the advice... I feel that my movements have gotten much better. Now I'm just fishing for some decent camera settings. I've tried 24p with a higher shutter speed and I wasn't a fan with...

24p and glidecam or any cam stab

I love the look 24p gives me, except when I'm on the glidecam. Do any of you guys make the exception to switching over to a different frame rate while your flying? Like 30p ?
I know that...

Re: OK, critique my Save The Date

Garrett... Since this thread is alive and kicking, I bought the book "the five C's of cinematography"... I just wanted to say thanks for suggesting it. I've been a big fan of it so far.

Re: Kristen & David - Portfolio worthy!

Looks good Jeff.. My only comment would be to perhaps lower the contrast on the shots from the t3i. They look a bit flat.

Re: Yannis & Maria Wedding Highlights

Dimitris... That was beautifully simple. I loved it... The colors were great along with the mix of glidecam shots vs static shots. Thanks for posting.

Re: Becks & Dave / Trailer / Poole Harbour

First off.. what an awesome venue. I thought you captured the landscape and architecture very well. A few shots could have been cut a few frames earlier. Still, great job. Love the subtle slider...

Re: OK, critique my Save The Date

Hey Lisa...

It's a constant learning process. I like to always pick one thing that I thought I did a good job or improved on. Then critique the rest.

I would do a little work on the text in...

Re: Emma & Marc | Super Love | Mintyslippers

Very well done... The audio throughout was outstanding. Was that the grooms speech during the reception, or something prerecorded?

Hey Don.. Thanks for mentioning this. I wasn't ever really happy with the way that my DVD looked after the image had been printed onto the disc. I picked these up after your suggestion and have...

Hey John... I liked it! I used to watch a lot of surfing vids growing up and I think you perfectly captured the style. What frame rate did you use? I could tell that you were playing with the...

Re: All DSLR wedding..

Hey Kren...

Yeah, I'm really bummed out by the skin tone. I bumped up the saturation so that didn't help things out (obviously). Thanks for watching.

Re: Please suggest me what I can do

You could always take the glass out... I bought mine mainly to use in bright sunlight. The magnification glass was just a bonus, but not essential IMO.

Re: Injecting movement into a shot

I 100% agree with what John wrote. During the first dance I like to pan across the guests or bridal party onto a (focused) bride and groom. Simple, clean, and builds the drama IMO.

Re: First video with Canon T2i

Hey Robert... I use the LCD viewfinder. It's easy to install, and works well. I ended up buying another t2i. Which I then could easily swap out the viewfinder onto the other camera.

Not sure what the technical name is... Is there anyone out there who puts up tint or a screen when shooting a ceremony that is setup in front of huge windows. I'm assuming this could also work well...

Re: All DSLR wedding..

Hey Art...

For the price I think you'll be satisfied with the T2i's capabilities. Right now I would like to pick up an H1 for a recorder, but it's not in the budget. I couldn't bump up the audio...

Re: Gero & Franca - Their Cinematic Story

Hey John

This is a really nice piece. A little dramatic for my taste at times. But other then that I love the use of the audio (ie speeches) and transitions. I also liked the non linear flow. ...
