Time remaining not displayed for MP4 export

Since the last Premiere CC update, I've noticed that I no longer get an "Estimated time remaining" display on the progress dialog when exporting MP4 files directly from Premiere CC (i.e. not queuing...

Re: Annual upgrading from Manfrotto thread.

Funny, I bought the old DV6SB head with the Speedlock CF75 legs thinking they'd be light. The bloody thing was a tonne weight, and no easier to carry round all day than my Vinten Vision Blue.

What...

Re: Panasonic Zoom Focus Controller

Glad you like the videos Tom. Everything from 2013 was shot with the AC130, I'm getting happier with it as time goes on. I don't cope very well in bright sunlight, we don't get enough of that for me...

Re: Card life

I've been using cards for years without problems in all sorts of cameras and camcorders. The only SDHC card I've ever lost is one that fell into water. I was still able to get the files off it, but...

Re: Update to Premiere Pro CC now available

Well there you go... I never knew about that shortcut. 5 years of Premiere Pro and I'm still learning new things about it!

Re: Update to Premiere Pro CC now available

Is it just me, or is the "linked selection" option just wonderful? The ability to just select the audio or video in a clip on the timeline without having to first unlink it.

Sweet.

Re: Panasonic Zoom Focus Controller

I now use this controller from Manfrotto:

RC CLAMP PANASONIC LANC MVR901ECPL - Camera | Manfrotto (http://www.manfrotto.co.uk/rc-clamp-panasonic-lanc)

I just didn't get on with the rotary dial...

Re: Real Newbie Question

Agreed, Chris. 1080 50i is my normal shooting mode. Perfect for DVD transfer, or Blu-ray if I ever go there, or de-interlace to 1080 25p for Youtube.

50p was nice to have, and sort of...

Re: Join clips in Premiere Pro CS6

You could try putting all the clips onto a sequence timeline, then nesting that sequence inside another sequence for editing. That way it'll act as if it was one single large clip.

To do this,...

Re: Vinten, Sachtler, Libec, Miller, Manfrotto Shootout

Um. The cheapest O'Connor tripod I can get in the UK is £4500. Or, about £1500 more than my camera. It's fine if you're high end cinematography or broadcast, but how many wedding guys, corporate...

Re: Real Newbie Question

I would shoot 50p for sheer beauty... the footage is ultra-real.

25p is OK if you want to try and make things look filmic, but there's so much more to film look than just 24p or 25p. Lighting,...

Re: Pan-tilt head help needed

It is partly down to skill and practice.... but a lot of this is down to equipment. The shots you see on TV are a result of both those things, but it really takes high quality tripod equipment to get...

Re: How to selectively select clips on the Premiere Pro timelime

Could it be possible to label all the source clips from each camera (in the source bin) with their own colour, and then use "Select Label Group" from the edit menu to select all yellow clips and...

Re: Does the AC90 feel cheap?

No worries Chris... it was just a general statement about AC range build quality, I wasn't pointing fingers.

Re: Does the AC90 feel cheap?

In 5 months of intense use (by my standards), build quality of the AC130 has not been a problem.

Build quality of the cameraman is another issue...

Re: No Encore CC

Ron, my point was that the product that Nigel linked to was CD only, I linked to the correct DVD Architect software.

I had a quick play and it seems OK, time will tell.

Re: This video is putting me of the 160A

Agreed with Paul. With the Panasonic AC range may not be for everyone, that "review" is poisonous, toxic and dangerous, and downright misleading. If I was Panasonic, I'd be pretty annoyed by that.

Re: Premiere Pro CC not retaining settings from CS6

Looks like that's correct, Pete. I just ran Photoshop CC for the first time and was offered the option to migrate settings.

I love the idea that settings are in the cloud now, and I never have to...

OK, I haven't managed to find a way to do this automatically, so I copied the settings manually from CS6 CC. I'll feel wick if someone shows me an easier way!

This is only something to consider if...

Premiere Pro CC not retaining settings from CS6

I decided to break this out from the big thread.

Re: This video is putting me of the 160A

^ Wot they said.

There absolutely is no perfect camera, they all have issues, some of which matter more to different people than others.

The AC130/160 has got particular negative feedback re....

Re: It's not Creative Suite anymore... news from Adobe

Pete,

I didn't see that option. I might try again, or check the options. I can probably copy them in manually, but I wondered if there was a simple one-click way.
