What about if you add some 'source inset cropping' in Compressor. As the output will remain constant what ever you inset the crop at, you will just distort the image if the ratio is out.

After testing the Sigma & Canon today I finally went with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM.

The Sigma was optically good but I thought the zoom and focus rings felt tight compared to the Canon....
