The Blackbird comes with a "kickstand" that lets you just set it down anywhere you wish, and it'll stay put. Very nice.

I use the Manfrotto ones as well. They fit into my Sachtler FSB8 head, and the Manfrotto 701s I have on the jib, the monopod, and the slider. Very convenient.

No worries. And I forgot to mention I have used a Y cable to input two separate wireless mics, but I have not used two stereo sources. Two mono inputs work fine.
