Re: Line has appeared in pictures

My money is on a bad memory module on the graphic card. Swap in a different card and test it.

Re: How do you find Pro Res 4k Playback ? Very glitchy!

Thats odd. I played back footage today and it seemed OK. I need to check and make sure it was ProRes and not DNG.

Re: How do you find Pro Res 4k Playback ? Very glitchy!

What kind of drive array are you using? I've been testing it today and it takes at least a 2 drive RAID0 setup to play smoothly on my system.

It will playback smoothly from a SSD.

I'm booked on gigs so I won't be at NAB this year.

The story is pretty simple. I had a verified account tied to a bank account that I used mostly for individuals wanting to pay me for services....

Re: Large Corp. Wants to Paypal me...

I had a large company tell me AFTER the job that they used paypal. The problem for me is I don't use paypal so I ended up having to have the payment sent to someone else who then wrote me a check.

Re: Case Bella Vista

The shots were for the most part pleasant. Pacing wise it felt slow. Not relaxed but slow.

The message that didn't come out was the real estate part. The video seemed to celebrate the model more...

I certainly accept that I may have a different opinion than others and yes I do know what the sponsors do for the site. I also know that there is virtually nowhere you can go and not be bombarded by...

Re: Big Savings on Canon Cinema Primes, Up to $6000 off kit prices

I did a quick search and found 57 posts since the first of the year by Eric and I didn't see a single one that didn't include "Buy my stuff".

I'm all for marketing and working to get your stuff...

Re: Colour Meters

Ah.. :)

Nope, gave up on those years ago. I use the tools built into the camera or into my field monitor.

That is one more thing to not agree with how your camera sees the frame.

Re: Transcribing audio (wav) interviews to text - how?

If you need accuracy there is no substitute for using a transcription service. It may cost $1/min but software won't cut it.

Re: FD to EF Adapter

One consideration is being able to get a nice 50mm f/1.2l FD lens for about 1/3rd the cost of a similar EF lens. Even counting the cost of modification you come out ahead.

Re: BMPCC 3D LUT appear overexposed

The thing to do is to buy a grey card and do some exposure tests. That will allow you to know exactly what you should expose to for the best results with your LUT of choice.

As an example when I...

Resolve can do that. You need to scroll down in the export window and check the box for individual files. It will export each clip on the timeline as an individual file.

Re: BMPCC 3D LUT appear overexposed

I just checked out some examples on their website and they are setting skin tones between 40% and 60%.

Where are your skin tones falling on your exposure?

Re: BMPCC 3D LUT appear overexposed

Can you post some images that show where you are exposing things?

Do you have a grey card? That is an essential tool to shooting LOG or RAW.

Re: BMPCC 3D LUT appear overexposed

It could be that you have exposed your image above the design.

I also would like to know what tools you are using to measure exposure and what values you are exposing to.
