Re: What kind of lenses are you planing to use

Got my hands on a few C300s at BVE in Earls Court last week. Love how easily you can hand hold it and those oh so lovely images it creates with ease.

I too have the excellent Canon 17-55mm F2.8 IS...

Re: Nikon D800 with video features

I just read on another site that a large quantity of Nikon D4 and D800s were stolen from a van in Dublin.

Might delay these new products availability (well legal availability anyway...) for a...

Re: My camera was stolen do I get another EX3 ?

No insurance, ouch! For the record, if anything ever happened to my EX3 I'd replace it with another EX3 as it's ideally suited to the bulk of the work that I do - corporate (and I have other cams...

Re: RODE Videomic Pro

We all make mistakes! I agree that it is not immediately obvious which way it is meant to go on so tried it both ways and decided that the one in my pic was probably correct. Sure, Rode should have...

Re: The Panasonic TM900 Users Thread

Have you got one of the the 'Instant On' features enabled?

Not with the TM900 right now/about to start a shoot with the EX3 but there are two different types of "fast on" settings in the Menu...

Re: Canon USA Introduces Three New EF Lenses

I guess I'm not the only one who is very surprised (and disappointed) about the lack of IS on the new 24-70mm. When I saw the recent rumours I thought it can't be true - but here it is.

Seem's...

DVDA 5.0 - Re-setting Single Movie/Menu Option on Opening

I'm on Vegas 9E on a Windows 7 box and until today I've always left the initial window that comes up (when you open DVDA 5) so that I could choose to make a DVD with menus, a single movie, one with...

Re: TM 900 - a moment of panic

Well, to state the obvious, it is either the card or the camera that has a fault. Your next task is to find out which - by exhaustive testing before you use the camera or that card again for any...

Re: jittery video on 7D

Assuming you are using a suitable shutter speed for video, the next question is are you supporting the camera on a tripod or using a rig?

Maybe you are just shooting hand held? Then with a lens...

Re: Possible EX1r/EX3 replacement this year?

Interesting thread. Reminds me of the EX3/2 discussion on here in 2010 (when that minor upgrade got announced, promoted and then pulled by Sony - details below).

Re: EX1 and Panasonic HDC-TM900

You'll have to jump through a couple of hoops to get 1080p50 into FCP7. One of the reasons I switched to Adobe Premier CS 5.5 Production Premium which handles my TM900 and EX3 footage natively, and...

Re: Norway and the Northern Lights 2012

Great news. There have been a lot of reports of the aurora being visible in the northern UK because of the Sun doing its stuff with CME activity the last few days. It's claimed that over the last...

Re: UK Store - Jigsaw24

I agree with the comments above. I would also add Jigsaw24 to the list of trusted suppliers (since I've successfully spent large sums of money with them - well over £15,000 or so in the past 3 years...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Tips on Use For Video Professionals

Re: 70-200 L-series 2.8

Black absorbs more heat in warm sunlight - so affecting the distances between lens elements as the body expands. The light colour is less absorbent. Simple physics, but I agree, they are more...

Re: SxS card problem

Hmmn, never had that one on my EX3. If you mount the card on a MBP (or laptop PC) does it show a BPAV folder? If so, what size is it in GB? Also, what sized card is it?

If there is nothing on...

Re: Panasonic X900M - TM700/900 Replacement

Thanks Rob,

Actually my TM900's fan is effectively silent (but I have read some have noisy ones - so it seems to be a bit hit and miss regarding fan noise).

Now, if you look at the pictures on...

Re: Panasonic X900M - TM700/900 Replacement

I'm with Phil. Pannys claimed low light improvement may just be more marketing guff.

Looks like incremental (but very welcome) improvements though, but certainly not a revolutionary change, I...

Re: Difference between 7D and 5Dii controlling aperature

David,

That latest firmware is fine. I've been running it on my 7D from about 2 weeks after it was available last year [I always wait a couple of weeks to see if problems get reported by those...

Re: Completely lost -- need a decent HD video camera

Paul, Bruce,

As far as I'm aware, the "Bondi Blue" fault was an issue with some of the TM700 cameras and corrected for the 900 series. I've seen very badly shot videos on YouTube etc. in the past...
