Re: Differences between GH2 vs GH2K vs GH2H v GH2S

Here's one with GH2H...what does the H stand for? I've seen boxes that simply state DMC-GH2, and boxes (like this pic) stating DMC-GH2H.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2H GH2 GH2K 14-140mm Mega O.I.S. |...

Lilliput DVI "fix" for blink issue does not work on 60D?

Hi there,

As most of you probably know, most of the Canon DSLRs have this nasty issue of "blinking" on and off when you start/stop recording in your external view monitor. The only one that...

Re: Production Insurance

My partner and I also work out of our house. I don't have homeowner's insurance (but may get it), so maybe adding a floater to that would help.

However, even without homeowner's insurance or...

Re: Auto ISO not functioning with FD and EOS adapters

Do you physically have to turn off the camera to change ISO, or do you simply have to stop recording (but not turn off the camera)?

Production Insurance

Hey guys,

We all have to protect ourselves when it comes to our business, and there is a lot to protect: our own gear, rental gear, perhaps your car, general liability in case a lightstand falls...

Re: Wedding experience with GH2 and lenses

How hard is it to setup the two softboxes in a run and gun situation as a wedding is? Do the bride, groom, and guests complain? Especially if they meticulously planned their mood lighting to be dim...

Re: Focus, Shutter Speeds, Timelines, ISO

While the HDMI out of the 60D downconverts to SD onto your external montior even when recording on 1080p, my question is: does this really matter? The monitor itself is only 800x480 resolution (SD),...

Re: Thao and Tung engagement video

Looks great! Really like the muted colors - gives it a nostalgic feel. I like the moving shots a lot - you used a crane/jib to get over their heads?

Re: Rhett + Nicole | MUST SEE Wedding Highlights | Serendipity Studios

Thanks for the confirmation, I've been wanting to stay away from lights as much as possible, but seems that just not possible with the current technology yet in dark scenes.

I can't stop watching...

Re: Who's using EF lenses with the GH1 and GH2? How's that working out?

Jeff, what do you mean only two settings for primes? I was talking about having the one focal distance (say 50mm), but artificially zooming in or out to get the ideal framing with the GH2's zooming...

Re: Rhett + Nicole | MUST SEE Wedding Highlights | Serendipity Studios

Thanks, Travis, awesome insight as always!

With a studio light, do you find it takes too long to set up or gets people upset with the bright light? Is it something you have to plan in advance, so...

Re: Who's using EF lenses with the GH1 and GH2? How's that working out?

Hey Jeff, one thing I've always wondered is why add a telescopic lens when the GH2 has that digital zoom feature w/out losing resolution? I know the DOF and bokeh may be different, but unless it's...

Re: Rhett + Nicole | MUST SEE Wedding Highlights | Serendipity Studios

Travis, thanks for your detailed response! It's going to help me a lot.

I did an event the other night at a very dark lounge with the 7D and fast Canon 2.8 lens (17-55 and 70-200mm IS), but nearly...

Re: Rhett + Nicole | MUST SEE Wedding Highlights | Serendipity Studios

Travis, inspirational work as always! Always admire your videos.

I like your approach - planning shots before the actual day, but I'm curious what that actually entails? Do you choose the song...

Re: Matching Two Cameras

Right, of course correction in post is harder, but I'm wondering if anyone has successfully done it with the Pannys and the Canon.

How would you match in camera btw?

Matching Two Cameras

Hello!

I am looking to do a three cam shoot for weddings that include the Panasonic GH2, Panasonic AG AF-100, and a Canon 60d/7d/5dii (one of the Canons).

How well would the Panny footage match...

Re: Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 lens video !

This may be a rudimentary question, but if I use the upcoming Birger Canon EF adaptor, do I have to remove the adaptor to use the Voigtlander?

Re: Is the GH2 usable? Should I buy it?

Hi guys,

What do you mean the VF and LCD are not wysiwyg? Would it be wysiwyg via an HDMI cable outputting 1080p to an external monitor? If it's not wysiwyg, then what is it? What changes after...

Re: GH2 for run and gun work

Jeff,

Why do you only consider the GH2 a B-cam and not suited for the primary cam? I see many people using DSLR/EVILs as their main cam (or might even only have 3 DSLRs and nothing else)...

Re: Serious, MAJOR GH2 Shortcoming

However, the AF only works with the two kit lenses and partially with the pancake lens? I find the kit lenses to be far too slow, so I wouldn't use them...does that mean I'm effectively throwing away...

Differences between GH2 vs GH2K vs GH2H v GH2S

I've seen various model names:

Panasonic DMC-GH2
Panasonic DMC-GH2K
Panasonic DMC-GH2H
Panasonic DMC-GH2S

Are there even more? What are the differences? Thanks!

Re: Syncing Zoom H4N/H1/etc. Audio to 24p

Yup, thanks Nigel, I know all about PluralEyes, but my question was about audio drift syncing rather than straight up syncing. But apparently it has to do with the internal timers being different.
