Re: Monopod, Slider

Should be fine.. just make sure to balance it correctly and dont plan to hold it too long.. 10 minutes holding the glidecam is quite a hardwork even for a young lad like me!

I agree 561B has the...

Re: Help! First DSLR wedding - SDHC card won't transfer file

Seems like a corrupted file mate. Although usually with corrupted files I had in the past, I can still download but cannot view it. Yours is another scenario that I've never came across.

Probably...

Re: Monopod, Slider

Ditto.. battery grip is annoying especially if you plan to mount the camera on a glidecam. Your battery should last long enough for ceremony. Unless its a super long ceremony.. but you can still find...

Re: Help! First DSLR wedding - SDHC card won't transfer file

Kren, are you trying to convert directly from the card? Have you tried copying the file first to the computer?

My suggestion is to make sure first that the file is not corrupted (viewable from the...

Re: Give me a Wedding Audio Rundown

I've been using a rechargable ENELOOP battery for the zoom H1 and always managed to pull off 4-5 hours recording time on the day with plenty of power to spare too.

Never had issue with battery...

Re: New to weddings - On a Budget - Thoughts and Suggestions needed

I did that when I frist started. But I found having the slider on the tripod is very annoying. .. especially if you're planning to have it there most of the time! It becomes too big and too annoying...

Re: Blackbird vs Merlin?

I haven't tried blackbird. But I've had Merlin and have now swapped with Glidecam HD2000 and I am completely happy with my swap. I reckon Glidecam is easier to balance and is more versatile in its...

Canon vs Zeiss 50mm f1.4 on 7D

Gday gents. I'm needing a 50mm on my 7D to get a semi telephoto lens. While I love the look of 50mm f1.2L, I don't feel like spending that much money.

So I'm down with these two up for...

Re: Best time for SDE showtime

Santo, what time does the bridal waltz usually start and how many time you have between the waltz and showtime? I suspect you need atleast 20 mins to transfer, transcode, insert into FCP, and render....

Re: Give me a Wedding Audio Rundown

Hey Jamie,

Re the lav mic, most would recommend either the Olympus ME-15 or the Giant Squid Lav. They are reasonably priced and performed well.

You can still hookup a line from the DJ into a H1...

Re: T2i (or T3i) shooting weddings

Hi Erwin, a lot of the wedding clip samples in the forum uses T2i as it is highly recommended camera that I reckon would perform almost as well as 7D but would perform even better with the Magic...

Best time for SDE showtime

Gday. Based on experience, what do you think is the best showtime for SDE?

I've seen a lot of epic SDE includes the bridal waltz, which I reckon made a lot of impact to the build up of the SDE.....

Re: Lens use for glidecam/merlin?

My usual setup is 5DM2 + 28mm f1.8 or 50mm f1.2. Otherwise, 7D + 11-16mm f2.8 for wider shot. I use it for bride walking out of car, walking on the isle, reception entrance, bridal waltz, dances, and...

Re: New to weddings - On a Budget - Thoughts and Suggestions needed

Glidecam SD/IGUS uses a sliding system, which is not as good as roller bearing system. Glidetrack Hybrid should be way much better as it combines the two.

Re: New to weddings - On a Budget - Thoughts and Suggestions needed

Glidetrack and Zaza both uses IGUS bearing system. So it is quite comparable between the two. The Zazaslider standard is only $280. I reckon its worth the extra dollars.
