Re: CreativeLive Wedding Cinematography Course

I don't think I ever indicated that I was making anywhere near 10k but I certainly have gone farther than I ever thought I could in my market. I was basing my statements on Chris Harding's number of...

Like I said. You sound pretty convinced. So therefore it will be so for you. I have experienced something different.

Re: CreativeLive Wedding Cinematography Course

You guys seem to be very convinced of your limitations. I'm not so sure. If your work is compelling enough I don't think there's as much limitation as you think.

I've been watching this over the last few days and am very pleased with what I've seen so far. This guy seems to know his stuff. I've picked up one awesome marketing tool already and really like his...

Re: Wedding Highlights

Sean I didn't notice any focus issues. My issue was the was pacing. 5:37 is a looong time and it really needs a structure and story to carry that long. And also after a year of using only licensed...

Re: 5D3: are there any "issues" with this camera?

Bill,
the only issue I've had has been the softness that everyone has had. I solve that by upping the in camera sharpness a tick and applying in post if needed. The old "dial sharpness down to...

Re: EOS 6D - What do you think?

So, I just got a 6D as a companion to my MkIII. The reason I went 6D was that as a second camera, I needed the high ISO but didn't need the other bells and whistles from the 5D. It just needs to...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

I can't use Ultra cards on my mkIII. I imagine they're too slow for the C100 doing this complex of a function. Why Ultra's? I just bought Extreme's for like $30?

6D question

I can't seem to find the answer to this, is the white balance buried in a menu or can you change wb by the Q function like on the 60D. Anyone know?

Re: C100 Ninja vs Internal test 1

So, you guys are really telling me you see a difference there? The shots look good but, I can see no difference at all. I downloaded the raw and still don't see it.

Re: Canon EOS C100

Right. I was about to pull the trigger on a 6D to replace my 60D which, frankly can't compete at receptions with the mkIII. But, you know how this goes, if I was gonna spend $2100 might as well spend...

Ok. So, I own a 5DmkIII and some good lenses. What's possible here that couldn't be done with my mkIII? I want to understand... (because I would have to explain it to my wife)

Re: Expanding my business

Chris,
I'm not sure how it works there, but you could search for agencies without a production staff. I get hired a good bit just to DP commercial shoots for agencies. They pay me a day rate and I...

Re: Canon EOS C100

Personally, I don't see enough difference in these shots to warrant the C100 for me. I need to consider if I was already going to get a 6D would that extra $4400 be warranted?

Re: No more video cameras?

The new sony looks HUGE. I can't imagine carrying something that large around all day. I complain about my mkIII and 24-105... I've become weak... also, I like not looking like a "videooghrapher" ...

Re: 6D as a second cam to MkIII

Re: 6D as a second cam to MkIII

Dan,
I'm in the opposite camp. I've figured out the workflow to the point that it doesn't bother me and dragging out an expensive video camera just seems like too much work for too little result....

6D as a second cam to MkIII

Hello everyone,
Currently I'm shooting with a mkIII and 2 60Ds. I like the 60D for its crop factor when shooting ceremonies, but I lose it at the reception because it just can't keep pace with the...

David
I typically pay 18-20% of the package price, the edits are usually never perfect but usually pretty close. And it really depends on how much content there is to work with like rehearsal or a...
