Springtime Sunrise - In Ely (Panasonic TM900 & Canon 7D)

My latest film. Shows the capabilities of the TM900 really well I hope. I used my Canon 7D and Canon 100mm Macro IS and Canon 70-200mm IS for the flower shots that top and tail this latest little...

Re: NX70U at NAB/first look

That sounds like a very impressive, graphic demo of one of its key differentiators from the opposition....great marketing idea! Would love to see a pic or short clip of that somewhere!

Re: NX70U at NAB/first look

Thanks for the info. Did you have a chance to study any of the menu options and/or take any test clips on any card that you might have taken to the show?

re: HyperDeck Shuttle from Blackmagic Design

You bet. Amazing price points. Real game changers.

I really like the sound of this Hyperdeck Shuttle (their website must be taking a hammering as it took me 30 minutes to get this link to...

Re: new camera: Panasonic AG-HPX250

Lots of new announcements on that link Les! This bit interests me (but I have not heard what Apple's are going to say about the new FCS yet)...

Panasonic Solutions Company is introducing AVCCAM...

Re: RODE Videomic Pro

Wait until a market place seller (or someone more local to you in Greece) has them back in stock again at a sensible price. On amazonuk they seem to have jumped to about £180 from the £149 + free...

Re: Extreme closeups/macro

OK since no one has bitten yet I'll start it off. I often get asked to do macro work for technical stuff in connection with my corporate video work here in the Hi-Tech Cambridge UK area.

Panasonic TM900 - Mic Accessory Shoe (Tip to Remove "Rattle")

Another tip for you all.

I noticed that the TM900 accessory shoe rattles a bit when it's got a mic like the Rode VMP or SVM on it. It's almost as if the metal shoe fitting that it slips down into...

Re: Night Vision TM900

As far as I know you have little to no control with the Sony CX700 in that mode (and not that great manual control in normal shooting modes either!), but I don't have a Sony CX700 so you had better...

Re: RODE Videomic Pro

Allan,

The shoe would not fit with a 180 degree turn - I measured both ends with calipers and they were similar/still too wide. For the record the Serial Number is a little over 1800 and it was...

RODE Videomic Pro & Panasonic TM900

I posted most of this info in the Panasonic TM900 Thread but think selected bits are relevant here so, although we all hate double posting, I've placed an edited extract in this thread as I think it...

Panasonic TM900 & Rode Videomic Pro (Pictures & Comments)

Well the VMP arrived at my studio this morning but I've been working all day (with a client present) on some corporate web demo edits so I have only now had a spare hour to look at the new VMP before...

Panasonic TM900 & Rode Mics

I have the Rode Stereo Videomic and the original Videomic too amongst my "collection". I think the SVM is incredible for it's price point, built like a tank (metal, not plastic) but, as you point...

Re: Petition to Sony

Piotr,

It is very simple. If you don't like what a manufacturer offers then don't buy that product. I own cameras by Sony (several), Canon, Panasonic and Nikon. Each are (or were) best in class...

Re: The new SONY HXR NX70 “Water & Dust proof”

Rode Video Mic Pro for Canon 600D

Well I just bought one today for my 7D and Panasonic TM900 so will let you know once it arrives.

Panasonic TM900 - External Microphone (Rode VM Pro or Nikon ME-1?)

As I've mentioned before, the mics on the TM900 are very susceptible to any wind when shooting outside - even just a light breeze renders the audio pretty useless. I've been considering getting a...

Nope! Full TM900 feature set on this web site. It has a candlelight setting in iAuto which worked pretty well with my one of my daughters 8th birthday party scenes but it's not like the Night Shot...
