Two weeks and no word.
I paid $1800 for a GH1 (and warranty) from B&H two weeks ago. It's not just that I'm waiting a long time for the GH1 but also that I have no idea when I'm going to get it - with a possibility that I...

You're overcomplicating it.
Buying a new accessory, like a light, or a filter, or something - that's just discretionary. If it'll make your stuff look better, and you're not terribly out of...

Zoom H2 Audio Noise
Put a GH1 on backorder, but I was a little worried about the GH1's autogain for audio.
I have a Zoom H2, however, so I didn't think it was too big a deal - that I could simply record dual-system...

I use an HG10 at work, and I edit in Sony Vegas on a...

NeoScene pulldown acceptable for 1080p24?
Just wanted to figure something out - pulldown for 1080p24 is the same for the GH1 as it is for the Canon HG20/HF10 line, right? Run it through NeoScene and be done with it?

On the earlier, HV20 and HV30 models, the 24p stream was recorded as "hidden" within a 60i format.
There's some more information here: Eugenia's...

GH1 & 5DMk2 - Two Different Markets
I hear a lot of people griping about the limitations of the GH1 and comparing it unfavorably to the Canon 5DMk2.
I think one of the problems is that the GH1 and the 5DMk2 are built for two...
