Nice!
Not bad for a first (and second) attempt. Care to share your settings for these (f-stop, shutter, ISO, all that noise)?

Panasonic TM-300
I haven't used one, but I know a few people who use the Panasonic TM-300 and speak highly of it. It's near the top of your price range, but seems to have a good balance of features for the price.

I can't say enough good things about the Nexto NVS2500. I took one on a recent shoot to Costa Rica, and had zero problems offloading hours of SxS, SDHC and CompactFlash footage shot with the EX1...

Vari-ND
Jaser,
I've got the 7D and the Canon 17-55 f2.8 lens. With the 77mm Vari-ND from Singh-Ray (different, I know from the Fader ND), I get no noticeable vignetting in video mode, though there is a...

Vignetting
I have the 77mm Vari-ND and the same lens. And yes, there is vignetting at the wide end of the lens. It seems to disappear pretty quickly as you zoom in, but it is there at 17mm.

Image Stabilization?
Perhaps your lens has image stabilization, and that was switched on. On a tripod, IS will make for some subtle movement sometimes.
Maybe?

10-22mm
