You could put on a 2/3th inch lens, put on extender to fill the frame.. Dunno if that would help you out.. If you sort out power for the lens you could put a focus and zoom demand on it.

We use prompters via composite video here...

We use prompters via composite video here mostly.. Simply because they have to go through the OBV and then are sent with the other camera signals using triax to the prompter.. It's the standard :)

Never did find a B3 mount lens for the price I wanted. I did find some but the sellers were asking too much. Then I had the chance to buy a cheap B4 lens(Canon J14ax8.5) so I went that direction.

They currently have a 3 camera set of Sony PD170's. It sents composite + RCA audio L/R through a 25 meter long 26 pin multicore cable, which also contains intercom (Clearcom/ASL) and a tally light....

GY-DV700 is 2/3th inch and 16:9.. so that would be my choice.. Get a decent 2ndhand lens for it and you have good zoom range while maintaining quality..

Ok we compared the pinout on the Sony and the Panasonic and they don't match up.

The odd thing is that through 2 pins 14.4 volt goes to the Panasonic viewfinder, yet the CRT tube runs off another...
